Hi Sandy! Welcome to blogland! Thanks so much for visiting my blog. You asked about the chevron dotted embossing folder I used on my card for the LIM challenge this week. The folder is a cuttlebug embossing folder and here's a link where you can get one. http://www.simonsaysstamp.com/servlet/the-50816/CHARLES-CHEVRON-ZIG-ZAG/Detail
Welcome to Blogland!!!!!!!!! I love that you are determined to blog-- it's really easy:) I can't wait to see what you share (esp. if you make some graduation poppers!!!!)!!!
ps...THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO much for your sweet comment on my Virtual Smooches video/post! I really hope you share what you create!!! I'd love to see your poppers;) THANKS again!
You asked about the dies I used on my cards at "susangoetter.blogspot.com.....the corner dies are Memory Box dies called Distressed Baptisia Collage. I found them at Simon Says Stamps. Here's the link.. https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product?id=323473
thanks Susan!! as you can see I don't use my 'blogspot' but so pleased you responded. I've followed you for years and you've been such an inspiration as you've 'come back' from your loss so beautifully. I have loved your zentangle letting for your granddaughter and it gave me courage to do one for one of my granddaughters as well.
I was going to email my response to you, but couldn't find an email address for you. You asked about the differences in my water coloring. On the second peony card, I didn't use as much water as I did on the first card and let each "layer" of paint dry before adding more. I tried using a water brush with water, but it just drips too much water, so I switched to a regular paintbrush on the second card. The leaves on the second card are from the same stamp set, and they were much easier to color. On the third card, I used the technique where you wet the area you want to color and then drop the watercolor into the wet area...it kind of spreads on it's on. I think that is probably my preferred method...just seems to work better for me. I still have difficulty with water coloring...it's all about control for me...and you can't "really" control water colors - or at lease I can't seem to! :)
Thank you for following my blog! Sometimes I wonder if I'm just adding to my blog and nobody reads it...so when I get a comment, I'm always delighted...because then I KNOW somebody read it! LOL!
